Removing unwanted objects or the entire background of your best portrait or landscape is not always an easy task to perform. It usually involves selecting the area manually and a great deal of freehand manipulation that not always produces the desired results. Apowersoft Background Eraser and its AI-based engine can perform this cumbersome task for you with just one click.
The program’s interface is nice and attractive. It opens on a clear window where you can select to remove the background of a single picture, of a set of pictures, or to create an ID photo of your portraits.
The program’s main feature is extremely simple to use – select the picture and let the program do its magic. It will select the main character in the photo, will paint it in red, and will try to erase everything around it automatically. You’ll be presented with the proposed result right away and, in most cases, it will display a high level of precision. Alternatively, you can do the selection yourself, an operation that may be necessary when it is not clear which of the figures in the image is the one you’d like to keep.
This tool comes with some other interesting features and utilities. Its ID photo maker comes with templates for the most commonly used sizes. The great thing is that you can use nearly any portrait as a source, simply because you can easily change its background with a white canvas prior to producing your ID photos. And all of that without leaving the program. You can then retouch and beautify your portrait before sending it to the printer. This ID photo utility can also be used for profile photos, stickers, etc.
After trying a number of similar utilities and image editors, I must admit that I was very surprised to see how Apowersoft Background Eraser is capable of removing backgrounds automatically with similar (and, in many cases, much better) results than with those tools that require the user to perform freehand selections of the areas to remove. The speed and the preliminary results provided are simply surprising, even with backgrounds with different shapes, objects, and colors. Besides, if you happen to find some blemishes that the program’s AI couldn’t remove in one go, you can always fine-tune the result using the manual controls.
Apowersoft Background Eraser produces the same mixed results that you will get with probably all similar tools. The main difference is that the program will do all the hard work for you, and that’s a big bonus, especially when working with a large number of source images. Despite its price, I cannot stop recommending it to anyone looking for quick and more-than-acceptable results.
